still one of my favorite photos of new york, this traffic light at lafayette street. no photomanipulation what whatsoever, somebody apparantly covered part of the hand with tape or paint, for great justice.
innit? i waited quite a few traffic light changes to take a good quality photo of it. my camera back then wasn't as good as nowadays ofc, so it took a while. should have made a video of it, but the quality wasn't good enough for that either. hurray for advanced technology!!
yeah! i wish they leave it like this forever, but i think that chance is quite slim... aah well. worth the effort of making everyone smile who was bummed in front of a red traffic light again ^__^ fight for art!
well, no, i in fact didn't alter this pic in any way. if i tried to do a photomanipulation, i would be able to do a very decent one, and my gallery proves that.
this was actually photographed in 2005, when i randomly discovered it in the street. obviously somebody sticked something over it at parts. just like there is a "broken" sticker right beside it. plus i had to zoom in very much, since it was a traffic light positioned quite high and my camera wasn't that good back then.
on the other hand i cannot prove that this is n *not* a manipulation; so i don't blame you, i'd be sceptic as well. but mind you, i wouldn't have it in my gallery if it wasn't authentic. it wouldn't be special at all, and i wouldn't see any point in posting it either. this is fun because it was actually real and i remember waiting several minutes to snap a decent pic of it, without having it blurry.
